OSLO PLASTIC SURGERY PARTICIPATED AS GUEST LECTURER AND FACULTY MEMBER AT BAAPS

He gave the following lectures

1. Patient selection, assessment and consent.

He lectured on how, after a thorough assessment of the patients, those who would be suitable for fat transplantation were found and those who were recommended other alternatives.

He also talked about the clinic's routines when the patient has decided to undergo one surgery . They receive detailed information about the operation and the time afterwards, both in writing and orally. They then sign a contract for their operation time, after which particular emphasis is placed on the possibility of cancellation within a given period of time. When the patient arrives on the day of surgery, everyone must sign a consent form. The main purpose of this form is to ensure that all patients have received good information about the operation they are about to undergo, are aware of the risk of complications and what duties and rights they have in this regard.

2. Buttock augmentation with own fat (BBL)

He reviewed the history behind buttock augmentation with own fat and addressed the internationally reported complications that have arisen after such procedures. He talked about his long experience with this operation. He explained the importance of a thorough patient safety assessment before such an operation and his own experiences with all the operations he has carried out regarding buttock augmentation with his own fat.
