Breast lift with implant
Et brystløft skal løfte og stramme opp brystene, som kan ha endret seg som følge av amming og/eller vektendring eller kun ved normal aldring. De som kun har slappe bryst trenger ofte kun et brystløft uten reduksjon eller eventuelt kombinert med innlegg av proteser.
Bryststørrelse og kvinnens ønske er viktige faktorer for å avgjøre om kombinasjonen er aktuell. Ved tvil gjøres først brystløft, og deretter innleggelse av protese. Brystløft utføres på en lignende måte som brystreduksjon, men er normalt mindre omfattende. Man fjerner vanligvis kun den overfladiske huden, flytter brystvorten og former kjertelvevet. Arrene går rundt brystvorten eller rundt brystvorten og ned kun vertikalt, dermed blir arrene mindre enn ved brystreduksjon.
Iblant er det behov for å legge inn implantatet (protese) ved samme operasjon når det ikke er nok volum i det hengende bryst.
Ammeevnen ødelegges normalt sett ikke av de teknikkene vi bruker. Følelsen i brystvorten kan iblant bli borte eller nedsatt, men den kommer ofte tilbake. Vi lukker vanligvis såret med sting som løser seg opp av seg selv. Det kan være behov for å legge inn ett dren (rør) som fjerner blod og væske fra sår området under huden. Disse fjernes vanligvis etter 1-2 dager ved første kontroll. Operasjonen gir ikke grunnlag for sykemelding.

Oslo Plastikkirurgi benytter verdens ledene produsent av proteser fra Mentor som tilbyr både runde og dråpeformede (anatomisk formede) implantater i ulike størrelser. Du vil i samråd med kirurgen velge ut hvilket implantat som er riktig for deg. Implantatene er fylt med en unik patentbeskyttet silikongel; MemoryGel.
MemoryGel er en kohesiv gelatinlignende substans som fungerer som et fast stoff, og er ikke flytende. MemoryGel føles som naturlig brystvev og gir et best mulig estetisk resultat.
Denne finnes i flere profiler, fra moderat til ultra høy profil.
Protesens ytre inneholder silikon. Angående formen kan protesene være runde eller dråpeformede, sistnevnte gir hos noen kvinner en mer naturlig form av brystforstørringen, men egner seg noe mindre til kvinner som ønsker fylde i den øvre polen av brystet. Vi bruker kun godkjente implantat med lav risiko for ruptur og andre komplikasjoner.

Pick-up and possible accommodation
You must arrange in advance with someone to pick you up from the clinic approximately 1 hour after the surgery, as you cannot drive, take public transport or taxis on your own. You must also have someone with you on the same day and the first night.
If you live far from the clinic, we recommend that you stay overnight in Oslo, either with family/friends or in a hotel with a relative.

Before the operation
You must be healthy on the day of the operation. If you are in doubt whether you have a cold or similar, you must contact us. The operation is not performed when you have the flu with fever, cough or other infection in the body. Before the operation you will receive a prescription for antibiotics, possibly painkillers and Hibiscrub solution 40 mg/ml which you can buy at the pharmacy.
The day before surgery and on the day of surgery, you should wash your entire body with Hibiscrub solution in the shower. This is a disinfectant soap that should be rinsed off with water, and the skin should be dried with a clean towel. Put on clean clothes when you leave home. Do not use perfume or cream. All jewelry, piercings and nail polish/false nails must be removed at the latest the day before surgery and may be put back on 7 to 10 days after surgery.
For å få et best mulig resultat og for å unngå komplikasjoner, anbefales det at du har din normale vekt, og ikke en altfor høy BMI. Røyker du, eller praktiserer nikotin som for eksempel snus eller elektronisk sigaretter, må du slutte minst 2 uker før operasjonen og 2 uker etter operasjonen.
Du skal møte fastende til operasjonen. Det vil si at du ikke skal spise mat inkludert frukt, juice med fruktkjøtt og melkeprodukter 6 timer før operasjonen, og du ikke skal drikke vann, saft, melk, juice uten fruktkjøtt eller kaffe, tygge tyggegummi / drops / halspastiller inntil 4 timer før operasjonen. Perorale medikamenter som du eventuelt skal ta på operasjonsdagen kan svelges med 1 glass vann opptil 100 ml inntil 1 time før anestesistart/oppmøte.

It is important that you stop taking blood-thinning medications about 14 days before the operation, preferably after consulting your GP or us. For other medications, consult the clinic before the operation. A lot of garlic and health food preparations should also not be consumed.
If you are going to have breast implants inserted, are over 40 years old and it has been a long time since you have had your breasts examined, it may be appropriate to have a mammogram before the surgery.
On the day of surgery
Du blir mottatt av vårt personale som ferdigstiller deg til operasjonen før kirurgen ser til deg. Før selve inngrepet vil kirurgen gå igjennom inngrepet, tegne opp det planlagte, samt svare deg på dine spørsmål du måtte ha.
Anestesipersonell kommer også og hilser på deg og svarer på dine spørsmål. Når operasjonen skal begynne vil operasjonssykepleier hente deg og vaske operasjonsområdet imens anestesipersonell gir deg beroligende middel i armen så du sover under operasjon. I tillegg setter kirurgen lokal bedøvelse i operasjonsområde for en langvarig smertestillende effekt i operasjonsområdet etter operasjonen, som i tillegg forminsker blødning i området.
After the operation, you will be moved to the recovery room where you will have your own bed. You will then rest for 1-2 hours and will be served food and plenty of drinks in the form of bread, yogurt and juice (remember to inform about allergies). Painkillers may be given if necessary.
The surgeon will see you before your return trip/hotel stay and you will be assessed by an anesthesiologist before you travel home with an adult companion. The PVK attached to your hand will be removed before you leave. You must use a car or taxi as a means of transportation immediately after surgery, we do not recommend public transportation or walking.
After the operation
All patients will come for a post-operative check-up the day after surgery. We recommend that you do not travel by air for the first 48 hours after surgery. During this time, a check-up appointment will be arranged at the clinic and you will come for a check-up at the clinic the day after surgery.
De første timene etter operasjonen kan du føle deg litt sliten, og av og til noe kvalm. Det er viktig at du tar smertestillende medisiner etter avtale og ved behov, og passer på å drikke rikelig det første døgnet. Noen kan bli litt svimle, og det er derfor lurt å bruke noen minutter når du skal reise deg. De første to døgnene skal du ha ro og ligge mest mulig stille, med overkroppen hevet.
De neste fem dager kan du bevege deg forsiktig. Dersom du har en aktiv jobb, er det lurt å være hjemme. Etter operasjonen får du en spesial-bandasje som fjernes etter 3 dager, teipen beholdes på i 2 uker. Du skal bruke sports-BH i 6 uker etter at bandasjen er fjernet. Etter at teipen fjernes (etter 2 uker) kan du dusje området og sette på ny teip. Det anbefales at du teiper arrene med hudvennlig teip i minst 2 måneder. Kirurgisk teip som Micropore eller Steri-Strip kjøpes på apoteket, alternativt silikon teip.
Vi lukker såret med sting som løser seg opp av seg selv. Vi setter vanligvis ikke dren (rør), kun i svært få tilfeller legges det inn for å fjerne blod og væske fra sårområdet under brystet. Disse fjernes vanligvis på klinikken 1-2 dager etter operasjonen.
The final result can only be assessed after 3-6 months. Follow-up checks are arranged with the clinic; the day after surgery, after 1-2 weeks and 3-6 months, as well as a final check-up after a year. You must call to arrange the check-ups yourself, or make an appointment with the clinic on the day of surgery.
Bleeding and infection are uncommon and in very few cases require reoperation and/or antibiotic treatment. Anesthesia complications, such as allergic reactions to anesthetics, are extremely rare.
Brystforstørrelse gir i prinsippet ikke grunnlag for sykemelding, men dersom du har et fysisk arbeid anbefaler vi at du tar høyde for dette de første dagene etter operasjon.
Fysisk trening og hardt kroppslig arbeid skal man vente med i ca. 4 uker.
The scars are often red, itchy and hard at first, but over time they will fade and soften. The scars are, however, hidden by a bra and will not be visible in low-cut dresses. In rare cases, the scars can become wide and clearly visible, this depends on the woman's own inherited skin characteristics. We therefore recommend that you tape the scars for a couple of months after a breast augmentation. Plaster tape is available at pharmacies.
If correction is necessary due to complications or unsatisfactory results, this will be done free of charge within one year, provided there is a medical indication and a clear improvement potential. This is our guarantee period.

Ved operasjonen forberedes en lomme under brystkjertelen, alternativt under brystmuskelen. En silikonprotese blir lagt inn av en størrelse og type som man i samarbeid med pasienten har bestemt før operasjonen. Arret går enten under brystet (mest vanlig), rundt brystvorten eller gjennom armhulen.
All patients must undergo a consultation before surgery. The consultation is conducted by our experienced plastic surgeon who will ask you questions about your medical status; past or current illnesses, previous surgeries, use of medications, etc. An examination is then performed, and the surgeon considers a possible operation.

In Norway, it is not allowed to show before and after pictures of silicone from cosmetic procedures in marketing or on the clinic's website. However, we can show you beautiful pictures from previous patients when you come for a consultation with the surgeon. This can be very helpful when we discuss the size of the implant, and it can make it easier for you to imagine an expected result.
