With a 9 hour time difference, it was still worth visiting Vancouver, a beautiful and clean city. Dr. Kalaaji and Oslo Plastic Surgery were invited as Faculty, and gave lectures on Foot Fat Pad Syndrome.

Dr. Kalaaji presented a case where the patient could not walk and was not successfully treated. She was then treated by Dr. Kalaaji with fat grafting and recovered after 3 years. The patient started walking, running, and skiing for up to 10 km. The presentation attracted a lot of attention at the American Aesthetic Meeting, and received a lot of good feedback.

The joy is doubled by first informing other colleagues about our experience, and presenting a solution to these types of patients who have not previously had curative treatment. Chances are high for a curative outcome with fat grafting if you are the right candidate, and then you can return to your normal activities.

Dr. Kalaaji also gave a copy of his book as a gift to a younger colleague. Flying boats are a typical Vancouver phenomenon.
