Here, our MD, PhD Dr. Kalaaji explains that the women who undergo abdominal surgery at Oslo Plastic Surgery have faced long-term mental, physical, hygienic and practical challenges, and have been thinking about the operation for years.
'' If someone comes to us for a designer vagina, I show them the door. It can be a consequence of injury, childbirth or age. This can also make intimate life very challenging.
"We don't operate on those who only want a "designer vagina". And we strongly discourage them from having any surgery at all. Our assessment is strict."
We refer to a Norwegian study that our MD, PhD and colleagues conducted with 125 female participants. They conducted an anonymous survey on how women feel before and after surgery.
The study found that the procedures result in high satisfaction with appearance and psychosocial improvements, with few and minor complications.
"Kalaaji also points out that in Norway, there are high requirements for assessment and ethics, in contrast to some foreign players who can perform the operations without the same quality assurance."
