The clinic's chief physician Dr. Kalaaji participated in the 6th ISPRES (The International Society of Plastic and Regenerative Surgery) and the 3rd Emirates Plastic Surgery Congress & 2017 Congress in Dubai from 17.11-19.11.17.
He participated as a guest lecturer and moderator.
He gave the following lecture:
1. Breast augmentation with own fat (fat transplantation), which Dr. Kalaaji has years of experience with and compared the various techniques he has developed over the years. He compared 122 cases that have undergone this procedure at Oslo Plastic Surgery.
More and more people are requesting this type of breast augmentation instead of inserting implants to improve shape and volume. Many also choose to remove the old prostheses due to severe capsule formation and rather insert their own fat as this feels more natural for the patient.
Some patients who have had implants in place want to keep them, but want more fullness. They can also benefit from a fat transplant.
We then use a so-called hybrid treatment, i.e. a combination of implants and own fat
The advantage of this is to fill specific areas either at the top, bottom, in the cleavage or to enhance projection in the breasts.
2. Buttock augmentation with own fat: An international review and presentation of the clinic's own experiences after performing 67 cases of buttock augmentation with own fat at Oslo Plastic Surgery.
The head doctor explained the patient safety aspects, which is carried out thoroughly at the clinic and which then causes minimal complications.
3. Correction of inverted nipples where he compared 4 different surgical solutions.
He has over 13 years of experience with such surgeries and has performed this in 129 nipples. He explained the technique that allows one to retain the ability to breastfeed after such an intervention.
